 Hill Country Literacy is a non-profit organization dedicated to the power of education through literacy and numeracy building of all residents in need. 

 Since 1965, the Blackstone Valley Community Action Program has been helping to change the course of people’s lives:Graduates of BVCAP’s many basic education and ESL programs enter the workforce or continue their education better prepared to be responsible citizens and successful at their endeavors.Families realize their dreams of home ownership thanks to our affordable housing programs, homebuyer advocacy, education and assistance programs.Tenants living in senior housing get help accessing the many social services which are so vital to their health, well being and peace of mind.Pregnant and parenting youth and their children look forward to brighter, healthier futures because of our on-going support and educational programs.At risk young people turn their lives around by developing new attitudes and skills through our education, counseling and support.And for thousands of families, BVCAP is a safety net, providing basic necessities like food, clothing and fuel assistance during hard times.BVCAP is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
